About

I like to blend all the colors of my past experiences so that I can paint a big picture. That way I can look at the unique shades that change with time, while filling in the missing pieces. It's the way I learn and I am continually growing and evolving as a person.

Although a naturopathic doctor by profession, I am now following my creative path. Dance (movement) has always been a continual strand in my life. I have had extensive training in Indian Classical (Bharata Natyam) and Bollywood style of dance.

Writing and acting, however, are my focus now. Dance is poetry in motion but I like to transfer that movement onto the page. I have always expressed myself with words and have experimented with different genres. Poetry is my specialty. My unique style reflects my background: psychology, philosophy and the mind body connection. I like to explore universal themes that tie us all together.

As part of the creative process, I love interviewing individuals from all walks of life. I feel that that this enhances me as an artist. My work has been featured in various magazines. I have also delved into script writing and enjoy making characters come alive both on stage and on the page.

For me, all art forms are interconnected and enhance each other. My acting training has shown me that wonderful things happen when you are in the moment. You go with the flow, and don't try to shape everything around you. This reflects my approach to life. My art has always kept me grounded, forcing me to just be and to take things as they come.

My goal is to help individuals tap into their own creativity. Through my art, I want to help others become more aware of their emotional and spiritual self.

I also faciliate workshops.Through my workshops I want show others that there is a link between art and healing.

Art and science are two sides of the same coin. Although most people would think of it as a big career shift both are linked. Both take you into that same headspace, that meditative state where all healing occurs. For me it was just a matter of shifting my perspective and zooming in on the different parts of me that were already there.

It has been a journey of self exploration. So my goal now is to keep my spirit alive through creative expression and to inspire / encourage others to do the same inside and outside of the classroom environment.

"Meditation is the tongue of the soul and the language of our spirit"
